10. It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council in lieu or in addition to any other punishment inflicted under the provisions of this Ordinance to banish from the Colony for such period not exceeding five years as the Governor in Council may direct any person not being a natural born subject who having been duly summoned under the provisions of this Ordinance shall refuse to render the services for which such person shall have been enrolled, or who having been duly enrolled shall have been dismissed for neglect of duty or other act of misconduct from any Corps constituted under this Ordinance.

11. In the event of any person enrolled under the provisions of this Ordinance being injured or losing his life in the execution of his duty, it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to award to such person or to his relatives compensation on the following scale:-

(1.) When the capacity of the person affected to contribute to his own support is certified by the Principal Civil Medical Officer to be slightly impaired,

A sum not exceeding two hundred dollars.

(2.) When the capacity is certified as aforesaid to be impaired, a sum not exceeding four hundred dollars.

(3.) When the capacity is certified to be materially impaired, a sum not exceeding six hundred dollars.

(4.) When the capacity is certified to be totally destroyed, a sum not exceeding two thousand dollars.

(5.) When the person loses his life, a sum not exceeding three thousand dollars.

Schedule I.

(a) Transport service.

(b.) Commissariat service.

(c.) Coaling H. M. Ships.

(d) Engine-room staff of steam vessels engaged in transport or examination services.

(e.) Defence works.
